Sunday, May 17, 2020

This month we wanted to spot light an artist who is talented, unique and original with star quality. Look no further, Rom Lawrell has arrived. Rom Lawrell is a Platinum Selling Artist/Songwriter/Director/Producer/Dancer/Entrepreneur. He envisions himself winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award, E.G.O.T. Rom Lawrell is a native of Chicago, Illinois but resides in Los Angeles, CA.

We were introduced to Rom Lawrell in Hollywood, CA in the Spring of 2018 at Five O Four Hollywood. It was there where he told us that he was a singer/ songwriter. The evolution of Rom Lawrell as an artist is undeniable. His music is what the industry needs. R&B music is alive in the music industry and Rom is definitely keeping it that way. Lawrell has been destined for stardom since winning his very first talent show at the tender age of 6. He performed Soul for Real’s “Candy Rain” at a local talent show. He has perfected his craft all throughout middle and high school performing in various activities involving dancing, singing and acting. This help to shape his skills as a bonafide artist.

Rom Lawrell has a very signature style of music. Lawrell’s music is influenced by Dance, Pop, and R&B. His musical inspirations are a collection of eclectic artists such as Prince, Grace Jones, Michael Jackson and Usher. Think of that smooth R&B that’s both a reminder of the 90s and current stylings mixed with a little bit of dance and infused with deep elements of soul and a sprinkle of Pop. He definitely has the formula for making great songs that stay ever present in your mind. You can find Rom Lawrell’s album on Amazon Music, iTunes, Google Play Store, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer and Napster.

Rom Lawrell is also a visual artist and has a production company, CRV Productions, that’s for the culture, by the culture. This production company caters to bringing full media services to creatives. May’s Rising Artistry goes to none other than the multitalented Romlawrell.
